The AHRC Research Centre for Studies in Intellectual Property and Technology
Law was established on 1 April 2002 with the generous support of the Arts
and Humanities Research Council. Phase 1 of its work (2002-2007) involved
three anchor projects: Privacy, Property, Persoanlity, 2) Intellectual
Property, Cultural Heritage and the Public Domain, and 3) E-Commerce
Legislation in the European Union. This blog is one of the key outputs
of the first of these projects and will be maintained throughout Phase 2 of
